Where You Will Study

This program gives Foster School students the chance to study directly at the Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a semester or academic year. The program allows students to live with host families or in dorms or apartments near the beautiful San Andres’ campus. The program has three tracks including a business track!!! While abroad, students can take business and non-business courses earning between 18 and 24 UW credits. All courses are taught in Spanish, and students need to have completed the second year of college level Spanish or equivalent.

Intensive Spanish Add-onBefore the semester begins, students can choose to add on a 4-week intensive Spanish program. The cost for this intensive language program is $1,500 in addition to the tuition fee. Read more about the intensive Spanish Program.


Academics

While abroad, students can take business and non-business courses. Many business core classes have already been pre-approved. View the list of courses. All courses are taught in Spanish, and students need to have completed the second year of college level Spanish or an equivalent.

Housing

Students have several options for housing including, University Housing/Residence Hall, Home stay, or apartment.

Students should estimate the following costs:
Host family (including breakfast and dinner 6 days a week) is $4050 USD for the semester. A shared room (double) in the residence hall is approximately $2375 USD.
A room in a shared apt in downtown Buenos Aires will vary significantly. Students can expect to pay anywhere from 5000 to 9,000 pesos per month



 

Program Expenses, Financial Aid & Scholarships

As a participant of this program, you will pay program fees directly to UdeSA, which is estimated at $6,000. The UW Study Abroad fee and the Foster Study abroad fee are charged to your UW account and due by the UW tuition deadline for your term(s) of study abroad. You should also budget for additional expenses such as international airfare & transportation, books & course materials, visa & passport fees, study abroad insurance and personal expenses.
