Program Description

Students take courses with other international students in the areas of Jewish Studies, Israel Studies, Middle East Studies, Art Studies, and Life Sciences. Each semester program is preceded by a mandatory Intensive Hebrew course (Ulpan), offering students at different levels of language proficiency the ability to substantially develop their Hebrew skills. Students who are native Hebrew speakers may be able to take up to 2 classes from the university-wide course offerings.

Tel Aviv University is situated only a short distance from both the Mediterranean coast and bustling downtown Tel Aviv, the center of Israeli art, culture, and entertainment. Tel Aviv offers Bauhaus architechture, cafes and clubs at the old harbor, the open air markets, summer street festivals, and the charm of old Jaffa with its artist colony.

Participants in the international program learn Hebrew and take courses in English for academic credit while immersing themselves in Israeli culture.

Students stay in dormitories which are all located within walking distance from the Tel Aviv University campus. Dormitories are divided into suites of one or two bedrooms shared by two students per bedroom. Each suite is furnished and includes a kitchenette and bathroom.
